“ The organiser had my back from day one. I would never have got the outcome I did without ANMF in the room with me.

Years backing Tasmanian healthcare

Real outcomes. Not internal structure.

What we do for members groups into four areas. Each one is about an outcome, not a department.

Workplace support & advocacy

Representation in disputes, classification reviews, fair-treatment cases and disciplinary proceedings — with the legal weight to back you.

Pay & conditions

EBA negotiation, log of claims leadership, allowance reviews, and the unglamorous detail work that puts more in your pocket.

Professional voice & influence

Submissions, inquiries, ministerial engagement — and a seat at most of the major tables in Tasmanian healthcare.

Safety & wellbeing

Ratios advocacy, occupational violence response, fatigue and roster issues, and the support to keep you safe at work.

Ready when you are.

Join 8,500 nurses, midwives and carers across Tasmania. It takes about  three minutes — and the first organiser conversation is free, with or  without a membership.

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation Tasmanian Branch  acknowledges the Tasmanian Aboriginal people as the Traditional  Custodians of this land. We acknowledge the determination and resilience of the Palawa/Pakana people of Lutruwita who have survived invasion and dispossession and continue to maintain their identity, culture, and  rights.

We recognise that we have much to learn from Aboriginal people today, who  represent the world’s oldest continuing culture and pay our sincere  respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

We respectfully acknowledge the Australian Nursing and Midwifery  Federation Tasmania's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members,  staff, students, alumni, partners, and visitors.

We also acknowledge and respect the Traditional Owners of lands across  Australia, their Elders, Ancestors, cultures, and heritage, and  recognise the continuing sovereignties of all Aboriginal and Torres  Strait Islander Nations.
